New Technology Tools
From last week:

For this week:

Concluding Assignment
This is an assignment in a format of your choice (essay, blog post, podcast, video, etc.). You will need to address either (1) your answers to the essential questions of the course:
  1. What do we mean by the "21st century classroom?" There are a variety of answers to this question, but few get at the transformation in teaching and learning that can be brought about by the shifts that are happening in our world today.
  2. How do we apply technology tools in ways so that we can more easily achieve meaningful teaching and learning in the 21st century? Our focus on technology in education rarely gets beyond the dimension of technical skill. Education professionals must have additional skills to be able to evaluate emerging and every-evolving technology tools and determine how they will meet the needs of the 21st century learner.

OR:

(2) your growth over the course as related to the ISTE Standards for teachers.
  1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
  2. Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments
  3. Model digital age learning and work
  4. Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility
  5. Engage in professional growth and leadership

As with all of your work in this course, reflection will be the standard for achieving the highest quality of work for this assignment. Regardless of the format you choose for this assignment, your work should reference your detailed experiences (including the reading) in this course. As for length, if you were to use text as your format choice, a quality assignment would be a minimum of three (3) double-spaced pages. Of course, you may choose alternate formats that work best for you and your learning style. You may wish to consult your blog entries from the semester, weaving them into this concluding assignment.
